The Bank of Khyber (BoK) has declared the profit rates on various PLS deposits of conventional branches for the half year ended on December 31, 2009 at the following rates from July 1, 2009. According to the press release issued here, profit on notice deposits of 7 to 29 days is 1.25 percent while for 30 days notice deposits the profit is 1.50 percent.

Special deposit account (SDA) is 5 percent, PLS saving account 5 percent. Term deposits: Three months TDR 2.00 percent, Six months TDR, 2.50 percent, one year TDR 5.50 percent, two years TDR 6.00 percent, three years TDR 6.50 percent, four years 7.00 percent and five years TDR 8.00 percent.

Khyber monthly scheme 3.50 percent, Regular Amdani Scheme (five years) 7.25 percent to 11.30 percent, Zabardast Amdani Scheme 10.60 percent, Maala Maal Munafa Scheme Ist year 12.00 percent and 2nd year 13.00 percent and profit on deposits from banks/financial institutions is 1.50 percent.-PR
